Google Docs Update

Today Google announces new Google document and spreadsheet editor, and a new drawing editor. Here are summary for the update,

1) A better document editor - editor becomes more responsive, and real time editing experience with character-by-character changes as collaborators make edits. Added sidebar chat for documents (previously only on spreadsheet).

2) A faster spreadsheet editor - load faster, more responsive and scroll more seamlessly (previously was slow and lagging in speed). Added new feature, formula bar for cell editing, auto-complete, drag and drop columns, simpler sheets navigation.

3) New collaborative drawing editor - collaborate in real time on flow charts, designs, diagrams and other business graphics. It could be copied to documents, spreadsheets and presentations using web clipboard. The drawing can be shared and published.

Setback on new changes - new editor not compatible with Gears (offline access). But Google is working on it and plan to bring back in the future.
