Movie Of The Week - Hachiko: A Dog's Story

One of my friend mentioned about this movie. Since I didn't have a movie to watch for this weekend, I managed to find the movie and gave it a shot.

This movie is made in 2009. It is a drama based on the true story of a college professor's bond with the abandoned dog he takes into his home.

The review of this movie on IMDB is 8.1/10. This movie portrays loyalty, which I always believe is the most crucial value at all time, and in this case from the man's best friend. Doesn't matter if you are dog lover or not, I think you will like the story.

This is actually based on a true story of a dog named Hachikō known in Japanese as chūken Hachikō (忠犬ハチ公), "faithful dog Hachikō". In 1924, it was brought by its owner Hidesaburō Ueno to Tokyo... More details may refer to its Wikipedia (Spoiler warning, the movie is actually very similar to the true story, so make sure you watch the movie first before looking into the Wikipedia details)

Update - I found out that there is another movie about Hachiko which was made in 1987 in Japanese language. The name of the movie is called "Hachiko Monogatari". This movie actually filmed in a way that its story line is closer with the real story of Hachiko. It includes the location, the owner, and the date. Due to this, its setting background are in Asian background and its culture.
