Cordon - A series of sentinels or of military posts enclosing or guarding some place or thing -

The 35 Chinese nationals, five Vietnamese, a Thai and an Indonesian ran helter-skelter when police, led by Bukit Aman’s Asst Supt Khairil Anuar Rosli, raided the premises.

However, none of them managed to escape as police had the area cordoned off.
